I am surprised to see that a large number of people are actually supporting Israel. Not that I like the muslim fundies like hezbollah but killing civilians is devastating. Somebody should make a listing of all the known mass killings like the holocaust, rwanda genocide, helagu khan’s massacre e.t.c.; which reminds me of that book I saw about the mass killings in cuba around 100 years ago. Its called ‘The Ghost of Col. Leopold’. This incident had gone unnoticed for a long time.

Also worth noting is the listing of historical mass killings in the city of Delhi. There have been several killings of more then tens of thousands of people at a time. It is a nice thesis for a research paper, which reminds of the south asian graduate studies conference that happens every year in chicago, those guys present some really interesting papers. This is such a random post.

“This is such a random post.” But a highly relevant one. Unfortunately, people are so accustomed to believing the mainstream version of events, and no one ever attempts to look into the history or background of what and why this all happened. Majority start from “Hezbollah started it”… excuse me! but it was the Israeli army crossing the border to attack Hezbollah when the soldiers got kidnapped.

No one ever mentioned the fact that both the Gaza and Lebanon incursion by Israel was planned weeks in advance before even the kidnapping. And don’t ever mention the continuous IDF incitement and murder of innocent Palestinians, or thousands of innocent Palestinians in Israeli gulags, or the horrific, inhuman, and aparthied conditions that Palestinians have to survive in. Don’t mention that because if you do then the question of “who started it” becomes totally irrelevant.

Its all the media. Whatever the media tells us, we think it is that way. Media says more people supporting Israel, we say more people supporting Israel.

Olive Ream: I totally that the cause goes much much back in the history then it seems.

    Writer’s Creek: :|

Asad: My reason to perceive this was not the media but the people around me, people whom I talk to seem to be agreeing with Israel’s attitude.

My concern is not Hezbollah, they most probably deserve all this, but what on earth did the civilians do to deserve all this!
